Students involved in violence will face arrest, expulsion: Film or cheer school fights? You’ll face discipline too—parents also warned
• Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has delivered a hardline message on school violence, warning that students involved in fights—and those who record or encourage such acts—will face arrest, expulsion, and other disciplinary action.
• “All acts of school violence must be reported to the police for criminal prosecution, and parents must take responsibility for their children’s actions,” the Prime Minister added.
Senate President sworn in as Acting President of T&T:
• Senator the Honourable Wade Mark was sworn in as Acting President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago by the Honourable the Chief Justice, Mr. Justice Ivor Archie ORTT.

There was a home invasion at Caratal road in Gasparillo on 20th may 2025 where a shot was fired at a resident by one of the bandits:
• the three suspects tied up and beat occupants of the house and stole cash, jewels among other items. they even raided a shop located downstairs the family’s home, carting off all the cigarettes and petty cash.

• Three teenage girls have been suspended from the south east Port of Spain secondary school after a vicious, premeditated and filmed attack on a female schoolmate that left the victim hospitalized with a fractured nose, broken tooth, bloodclots in her eyes, and other injuries.

• 60-year-old Dennis Ali of River Branch Road, Kelly Village, remains in critical condition after being shot in the early hours of June 5, 2025, at Santa Monica Trace, El Carmen Village, St. Helena.

• Unidentified male found critically injured in Port of Spain—brutal wood attack, suspect, circumstances unknown
• Around 2:45 a.m. on June 5, 2025, officers of the Port of Spain task force responded to a wireless report of an unresponsive male at the corner of Duke and Victoria Streets, Port of Spain.
