A London-bound Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner carrying 230 passengers and 12 crew members crashed into a medical college hostel minutes after taking off from the Ahmedabad airport this afternoon. Visuals captured on mobile camera showed the aircraft losing altitude rapidly and crashing in a ball of fire. There were 169 Indians, 53 British, one Canadian and seven Portuguese nationals onboard the Air India flight AI 171 from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick.
